How to check the leakage of refrigerant

1 locatingleakage

At present,for use on a vehicleair conditioning systemis generallycoldopen typerefrigerantFreon(R12,useorFreonsubstitute134a).In use,the refrigerantfromtheconnector,the oil sealleakage,leakage of refrigerantwill lead topoor cooling effectornot refrigerationphenomenon.

(1)checkleakagetraces.In arefrigerationsystem,the cooling oil isused to lubricate thebearingandothermoving parts of thecompressor,a small amount of lubricating oilwill betogether with the refrigerantenters therefrigeration cycle system.If therefrigeration cyclesystem leaks,leakwill appeargrunge,soduring the inspection,found thepipeline anda jointoil,we can determinetheleakagefault,should be repaired.

(2)observationwindow,determiningrefrigerantleakage.Start the engine(about 1000r/min),openrefrigeration controlswitch(A/C),the temperatureswitch controllever in the COLD(cold)position,the switch of the fanto the largestposition,from theinspection windowis observed atrefrigerantflow state,to determine therefrigeration cyclesystem hasno leakage,as shown in Figure 1.

Normal:refrigerantrefrigerant flowsubstantially transparent,theoutlet of theairis cold.Refrigeration systemand normal state.

Lack of refrigerant:lack of refrigerant,often seebubble flow,the refrigerantis milky white,thenthe refrigeration effect is not good.

2check the air-conditioningsystem works

Check will becarparkin a well-ventilatedplace,keep the engineof medium speed,the air conditionerwind speedat maximumblock,so that theair inside theinner loop.

(1)fromeachtemperature judgingthe air conditioning state.Touch theair-conditioningsystems and components,check surfacetemperature.Under normal circumstances,low pressurepipes in thestate of low temperature,high pressurepipes in thecondition of high temperature.

Compressorlowsidethere should be aclear difference,if there is noobviousdifference in temperature,theair conditioning systemwithoutrefrigerant,system hasobvious leaks.

(2)cleaningair conditioneron the debris.Evaporatorandcondenser surfacechannel,as well as thecondenser andthe water tank of the engine(shutdown)betweenany sundries,sludge,pay attention toclean,carefully cleaning.The condensercan be brushedgently brushing,careful not touse steamflushing.

(3)inspection and adjustment ofair conditioner belt.Check thebelt tightness ofthe appropriateness,surfaceis intact(withengine beltto check and adjustthe same).The abovecheck ifunusual,should be repaired.

3maintenance ofair conditioning systemfor personal protection

Freonnot combustion,explosion,but itsgasmeetfirecan produce toxicphosgene,thereforenot inrefrigeration systemrepairsite near thewelding operationor smoking.Neverin a closedroomwithin or near theflamewhere processingrefrigerant.

Freonon watersolubility is very small,in a refrigeration circuitifthe presence of wateris very likely in theexpansion valve throttlingholeprecipitationfreeze into ice,clogging theair conditioner pipeline.So we should pay attention tonot to letwater vaporinto the refrigeration system,not in therainto outdoor workin or aroundwateropenrefrigeration system,a refrigeration systemmust be timely andstamped with thesealopen.

Freonencounteredthe moisture in the airmakes themetalsurface loses luster.So the dischargerefrigeranttothe oldclothcover,onthe outer surface of the body.

Freon andlubricating oilis completelydissolved,sothe lubricant withfreon in the systemcycle,with thesystem of allinner surface.In thedischarge refrigerant,mustslowly discharges,to preventtakelubricating oil.

Freonas the temperature rises,the pressureincreases very fast,thereforethe refrigerantto be stored in40℃environment,avoidhigh temperature storage.

Freonfor ordinaryrubberhas corrosive effect,therefore,can not be usedto replaceordinaryrubber productsrubber seal forair conditioning system.

(3)the air conditioning compressorlubricating oil.Aircompressor lubricating oilare hygroscopic,notprolonged exposure to the air,tocover up.

4 check theheating and cooling fan

(1)opencabfanswitch,check the electricblower,requirement ofnormalor abnormal sound.Otherwise,should check andtroubleshooting.When therunning of theabnormal noise,should check theblowerfan bladeis damagedandthe counterweight plateswith and withoutsheddingfan;

(2)check theairrubber hosewithout aginganddamaged,if damagedshould bereplaced;

(3)starting theengine temperature,open thewarm airswitch and theblower switch,heating and ventilating equipmentstatusshall conform to the requirements,otherwise,should be adjustedand repair.
